Stelario is an online casino that is owned and operated by Altacore N.V. The company is one that we have had plenty of experience with in the past. For the most part, its websites are solid, but they are not without their flaws, so we approached this one in the same mindset.

Stelario was one of several sites that Altacore launched in 2020. Like all of its casinos, Stelario is licensed and regulated by the government and laws of Curacao. We recently reviewed Wild Tokyo, another site owned by the company, and found it to be a little bit of a mixed-bag. Does Stelario follow that trend? Let’s take a more detailed look at the casino and find out.

Basics

The casino claims to be to offer its customers an unforgettable experience in the about us section. While it certainly doesn’t achieve this, you can’t knock the ambition, and it does manage to provide a good experience in several areas.

Stelario Casino

The name Stelario, as far as my Google search tells me, is derived from some sort of constellation. This explains the space and stars theme that dominates the website. The entire backdrop of the site is a starry sky and for the most part, it’s fairly unintrusive. The purple text on dark background, however, is not the easiest on the eyes it must be said.

The Casino claims to offer an unforgettable experience

Getting signed up for the site is an easy enough process and just requires you to enter some details and your chosen password. Depositing funds was kept fairly straightforward too, I just had to verify my e-mail address beforehand.

As we’ve mentioned, you’ve no need to worry about safety because the site is licensed by Curacao. This is a very common license for casinos operating internationally and while it may not be as established as the MGA or the UKGC, it is still trustworthy and provides a safe environment. It can be a little more problematic if you run into issues with the operator though, so do keep that in mind.

The site is also designed to run smoothly on mobile devices. This isn’t really a surprise given it was launched in 2020 but the mobile site still deserves some praise. It is responsive and well-designed and it worked well when tested on both Safari and Google Chrome. Sadly, there’s no mobile application available for the casino.

Slots & Games

It can be hard to knock an online game selection that boasts over 4,000 different titles. It’s a very impressive count, and what’s just as impressive is the big number of developers. There are 44 names in total here, which is good by anybody’s standards. It’s not just unknown developers either – the site is home to slots from names like Microgaming, NetEnt, Yggdrasil, and more. You always know you’re in for a quality online casino experience when you see these kinds of names being floated around.

Elsewhere, there is a good selection of jackpots. There are just under 100 games in the jackpot category. Sadly, none of the big hitters like Mega Moolah or Major Millions is available here, but there are plenty of good fixed jackpots to play with. This includes names like Thunder of Olympus, Chilli Fest, and Wild Wild Riches.

Stelario Games

I do like it when a site offers something a little bit different, and Stelario has a unique Aviator game that I found quite fun to play. The game tests your nerve as you try to fly out a plane and guess when to cash out as a multiplier increases. It’s nothing too fancy, but it does help give the site a little bit of an edge over some of its competitors.

Of course, the site is also home to over 100 different live casino offerings from a selection of different developers. The main name that we are always happy to see is Evolution and there is plenty of their titles that can be found here. This includes all of the usual stuff like live baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and poker, as well as the TV-show style games like Dream Catcher and Monopoly Live.

Bonuses & Promotions

New customers at Stelario are in for quite a generous welcome bonus. The site provides two different welcome bonuses, with the first one being fixed and the second one allowing you to choose what you get based on your budget. This is always a nice touch and allows players operating on a higher budget to get more of a bonus if they want to risk more cash.

The two bonuses break down as followed:

  • 1st Deposit: 200% Bonus up to €50 + 100 Free spins
  • 2nd Deposit: Deposit from €20 to get 100% bonus up to €500/ Deposit from €50 to get 100% bonus up to €500 + 200 free spins.

The second option may not be the biggest upgrade in the world but it is still a good gesture. Of course, there are limits and terms & conditions that players need to pay attention to with these bonuses. For the free spins, they can only be used on the slot game, Big Bass Bananza by Pragmatic Play. This isn’t a bad little slot, boasting up to 10x multiplier and a wild exchange style feature. It’s not the best out there but it’s certainly better than some of the slots these bonuses sometimes lumber you with.

Stelario Bonuses

As far as wagering, players will need to get through both the bonus and the deposit amount 35x. This wouldn’t be bad if you only had to work through the bonus amount, but having to work through both will make this a chore and it definitely put some people off. The maximum amount that you can wager when playing with this bonus is €5.

On the plus side, the maximum amount you can withdraw from it is €500 from the first bonus and limitless from the second. Now, the chances of you having a huge amount are slim giving the wagering requirements but stranger things have happened. You are given 10 days to work your way through the bonus too, which is the standard amount given.

Elsewhere, the site has some other fun bonuses for players to take advantage of. There is a good reload bonus as well as a weekly cashback offer. These are both solid, though, once again, the wagering requirements can be a little bit tricky and can leave a bit of a sour taste.

User Reviews & Customer Support

As a newish site, there is not really a great deal of feedback available from players for Stelario at the time of writing. There are some comments regarding withdrawal times but we never found this to be a problem ourselves. In fact, the majority of the early feedback for the site is positive, with many praising its design and its ease of use.

The company do take the time to respond to reviews online, though, it is often just a generic response that says something like ‘thank you for the feedback. While this might not satisfy those providing the feedback, it does at least give the brand some exposure and show that they are paying attention. Whether they actually implementing any changes based around it is an entirely different ballgame.

There are three different methods you can use to contact the site – e-mail, live chat and phone. I contacted them using the live-chat service and for the most part, they were useful outside of a bit of a delayed response. The services are available 24/7. Having a phone option is always nice, especially as most modern casinos tend to have dropped the option in favor of live-chats.

Deposits & Withdrawals

First things first, there is a solid amount of methods that players can use for both crypto and fiat currencies on the site. The main methods that are available include Visa/Mastercard, Neteller, and Paysafecard. A useful addition for me was Revolut. The internet banking company has become popular in recent months and as a regular user, it was nice to see it being embraced by an online casino.

The minimum deposit for all fiat methods is €20, which is fairly standard. I personally prefer ones with lower deposit options and withdrawal but €20 is acceptable. The withdrawal remains mostly the same.

Stelario Deposits

As far as cryptos go, the usual options are available here. Players can use Bitcoin, Litecoin, Tether, Ethereum, and Dogecoin. The use of the latter suggests that the casino does at least attempt to update its cryptocurrencies from time to time and that their presence here isn’t a total afterthought. However, the minimum deposit for cryptos is €50, which is something I have to take issue with.

The same problem happened with Wild Tokyo and it is clearly a decision that has been made by Altacore N.V. It’s a shame that this is the case because having a higher deposit amount for cryptos is definitely a put-off for playing with them. Annoyingly, the withdrawal amount for cryptos is only €20.

The casino does also offer the chance to buy crypto yourself. It uses a third-party called UTORG which I’ve not personally used for purchasing crypto. Other users online seem to have given it some okay reviews, but we would advise operating with caution when using any third-party service through a casino.

Final Thoughts

The experience we had with Stelario was incredibly similar to what we had with Wild Tokyo. The main selling point for the site is the massive slot selection. The option to play on over 4,000 slots is going to be an attraction to anybody and the list of developers that the site works with reads like a who’s who of the iGaming industry.

Sadly, other areas of the site did leave a bit of a sour taste in the mouth. Notably, the lack of focus on cryptos and the higher deposit amount for using them. There is zero incentive here to play with cryptocurrencies, which is totally fine if you’re not too fussed about playing with them, but given that this is a site with an emphasis on them, it seems safe to assume you might be.

From a bonus perspective, the welcome bonus is good and the option to choose the size of what you receive is a nice touch. The wagering requirements of 35x of both the bonus and the deposit amount is a little steep though and may take some working through. On the whole, there are definitely better crypto casinos out there but the huge games selection is enough to make this site stand out somewhat.

I love the vibe of this one and the bonuses are okay.

Nothing too bad, nothing great, but I will likely return and play this one again. I don’t get to say that very often!
