BritainBet Casino is a UK-focused online casino with a difference

But if you’re a fellow Brit excited about the prospect of finally gambling with cryptocurrencies, I have some bad news: You can’t. BritainBet Casino does accept Bitcoin payments and it accepts them using the BitBay Pay method (more on that below), but it makes an exception for players in the UK.

That’s the bad news, but there is plenty of good news, as well.

BritainBet Casino offers sports betting markets and casino games, and it accepts many different payment methods. It also offers a variety of promotions, and these are targeted at both new and loyal players.

For more information on BritainBet Casino, take a look at the following review.

Basics

BritainBet Casino Promotions

BritainBet Casino was launched in 2020 by ProgressPlay Limited, the same operators behind the previously reviewed Oreels Casino, as well as dozens of other BTC and non-BTC gambling sites.

It’s a colourful site that thrusts players right into the heart of the action, showcasing its many hundreds of casino games and its thousands of sports betting markets. It’s not the best design, and it’s actually quite messy and difficult to navigate, but it’s not a complete disaster.

It actually reminds me of many other sites, ones that I can’t quite put my finger on and ones that haven’t been impressive enough to linger in my memory. It has that generic “deja-vu” feeling about it, not quite disappointing or stylish enough to lodge in my memory. Then again, after witnessing some atrocious creations in 2020 and 2021, I’ll take “generic” and “mediocre” any day of the week.

BritainBet Casino operates under license from the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, but it also has a license from the Malta Gaming Authority. If you are from the UK, you fall under the jurisdiction of the former and that’s why you can’t use Bitcoins here. If you are from outside of the UK, your actions will be governed by the Malta Gaming Authority and you can use cryptos, albeit with some limitations.

Software and Games

BritainBet Casino Live Games

BritainBet Casino works with many top developers, including Scientific Games, Blueprint Gaming, Big Time Gaming, Play’n GO, Thunderkick, NetEnt, and Microgaming. The Live Casino games are provided by the amazing Evolution Gaming and the gaming roster is constantly being updated with new titles.

You can search by “Provider” to highlight your favourite creators, or you can stick with sections such as “Slots”, “Live Casino”, “Jackpots”, and more. Among all of these categories, you’ll see some instantly recognisable thumbnails as BritainBet Casino has gone all-out with popular slots, including Starburst, Book of Dead, Bonanza, Fluffy Favourites, and Reactoonz.

If these slots are not quite what you’re looking for and you prefer something new and unique, just keep scrolling or click onto the “New” category.

BritainBet Casino also has a sportsbook. It’s not the biggest you will encounter, but it should have more than enough to meet your needs, providing you’re not looking for very niche bets or sports.

Bonuses and Promotions

The BritainBet Casino Welcome Bonus is far from the highest you will encounter, and is pretty tame when compared to the likes of Bitstarz Online Casino. That’s usually the case with UK casinos, though. It’s capped at just £50 and has a wagering requirement of 50x.

On the plus side, it’s a 200% bonus, which means that you only need to deposit £25 to collect the full £50 payout. It’s a bonus that will disappoint high rollers and even those dabbling with medium stake levels, but it should be perfect for small stakes players.

The bonuses don’t end here, either. BritainBet Casino has regular real money slot tournaments, reload bonuses, Free Spins, and much more. You can find all of these in the casino’s promotions section, which is constantly being updated with new and enticing offers.

Last but not least, BritainBet Casino has a rewards program into which all players are invited. You’ll be given points every time that you play, and those points will gradually accumulate. It’s a great incentive to keep those deposits and wagers flowing.

Payment Options

BritainBet Casino Slots

BritainBet Casino is another casino that gets close to offering BTC payments for UK players but doesn’t quite get there, putting it in the same category as the wonderful SlotsHeaven Casino.

I can’t be too harsh on them, though. It’s not that they don’t like their UK members or don’t think they will benefit from using cryptos. It’s purely a regulatory thing. The United Kingdom Gambling Commission just hasn’t gotten around to embracing cryptocurrencies yet, and it might be some time before they do.

Bitcoin is also not available as a withdrawal method, and this is true wherever you are in the world. It’s a problem that exists on a few other UK-focused online casinos, including the aforementioned Slots Heaven. It means that you will need to add another payment method to your account if you make a deposit using Bitcoin.

It’s not all bad news, though. You can still join BritainBet Casino if you are from the United Kingdom and there are still a variety of payment options at your disposable. More importantly, if you live outside of the UK and reside in one of the many reasons where BritainBet Casino is available, you are free to use BTC.

UK players will be happy to know that PayPal is one of the accepted payment methods, and it is available for both deposits and withdrawals.

PayByPhone is also offered. Simply put, it lets you add a fixed sum of money to your BritainBet Casino account and then charges that money to your mobile phone bill. It’s a very popular method on UK casinos and bingo sites, but it’s one that’s not without its issues.

Firstly, you are limited to very small payments. Secondly, there is a 15% processing fee for all deposits, which is a ridiculous sum of money. It’s also not available for withdrawals. It’s almost as if gambling operators have found a way to allow players to “play now, worry later” after credit card gambling was banned. After all, it’s basically the same thing.

Maybe I’m just being cynical, but I personally think that these options are risky. They are also loopholes that let problem gamblers play with credit, and as a result, I don’t think they’ll stick around for long.

Other options that can be used by both UK and non-UK players include Trustly, PaySafeCard, Visa, Mastercard, MuchBetter, and ecoPayz. Canadian players can also use Interac, an instant banking service that is hugely popular in the Great White North and is offered on the very best Canadian online casinos, including Fight Club Casino.

The minimum deposits range from £10 to £20 or the equivalent in your chosen currency. It depends on the exact method that you use, as well as your currency and location. As for the withdrawals, these are fixed at maximums of £3,000 per week and £6,000 per month. It’s a very low withdrawal limit, and that’s a shame, but it’s probably not going to affect you unless you are a high roller, and that accounts for a very small percentage of players.

Withdrawal speeds are a little on the slow side, as well. There is a pending withdrawal time of 3 to 5 days, which means it could take anywhere from 3 to 10 days to get your money, depending on the method that you choose. Web wallets like PayPal are the quickest option for all players, including those in the United Kingdom.

Highlights

  • Licensed in the United Kingdom and Malta
  • Bitcoin Available as a Deposit Option for Non-UK Members
  • Skrill, Neteller, and PayPal Available
  • Owned By a Leading iGaming Operator
  • Sports Betting and Casino Games Available
  • Big Bonuses and a Generous Rewards Program

User Reviews

BritainBet Casino Sports

There aren’t a great deal of reviews out there for BritainBet Casino. I did stumble across many reviews for the casino’s operator and a large number of these were negative, but that’s often the case with online casinos. Most players only leave bad reviews when they have something negative to say, and that negativity usually flows every time that they misread bonus terms or have a string of bad luck.

In any case, there’s nothing to worry about here and players seem to enjoy themselves at BritainBet Casino. It’s not perfect, far from it, but it still has a lot to offer.

As for the customer support, BritainBet Casino has an extensive list of FAQs, as well as both an email address and a Live Chat option. The latter is available to all visitors, and not just members, which is always good to see. It annoys me when casinos limit their contact options to members only, as if prospective players don’t have anything to ask.

FAQs

Why Can’t I Use Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is an accepted payment method on BritainBet Casino, but there are a few reasons why it might not be available to you. The first is if you are in the United Kingdom. As things stand, the UK Gambling Commission doesn’t facilitate gaming through cryptocurrencies and so you can’t use these options on sites regulated here. You can’t look for sites regulated elsewhere, either, as they’re not legally available to UK players. The other reason could be that you’re trying to use Bitcoin as a withdrawal method. As things stand, it’s not available for withdrawals at this casino, so you will need to add another option to your account.

What is the Withdrawal Limit?

BritainBet Casino limits players to withdrawals of no more than £3,000 per week and £6,000 per month, although there might be some exceptions for certain payment methods (such as Bitcoin) and for players from certain regions. These terms are also subject to change and the casino may even change the rules on a player by player basis. It’s rare, but not unheard of, so if you’re a high roller deterred by the low withdrawal limit, I recommend contacting them in advance, telling them how much you wish to deposit, and then seeing if they can make any allowances for you.

How Do I Join the Loyalty Program?

The BritainBet Casino Loyalty Program is not one of those programs that’s only available to players who deposit or gamble a certain amount of money. It is available to everyone, and you will be added as soon as you join. From there, you just need to keep making deposits, keep playing, and watch as your points and perks increase. Just remember to gamble responsibly and don’t risk more than you can afford to lose.

Do I Need to Verify My Account?

Yes, you will need to complete a verification check as this is a requirement under Know Your Customer (KYC) rules. It is required of both the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority. The process should be very quick and harmless, though. If there is an issue, it may take a little longer, but as long as you remain patient and complete the casino’s request, it will be finalized eventually.

Can I Join From the US?

You cannot join BritainBet Casino from the United States. It does not have the required licenses to operate in the USA and so you will need to look elsewhere. Generally speaking, the laws are very strict in the US and unless you live in a state like Pennsylvania or New Jersey and are playing at locally licensed mobile casinos, we recommend giving online gambling sites a miss. You can learn more about the rules and regulations in our review of Bovada Casino.

Final Thoughts

BritainBet Casino is not the best casino to have launched in 2020, but it’s far from being the worst, either. Its Welcome Bonus leaves a lot to be desired and it has some frustrating policies regarding its withdrawals, including slow cash outs and low withdrawal limits, but if you look at the site from the perspective of a casual player, it’s fantastic.

None of those issues are a concern if you typically deposit less than £50 at a time, and if that sounds like you, then you’re going to love BritainBet Casino. If not, you may be better off elsewhere, including online casinos like MELbet.

I was so excited when I saw this casino review here. “Britain Bet” on a crypto site, amazing! I thought that UK players were finally being allowed to use BTC. As you pointed out though that’s just not the case and that makes me a little annoyed.

What’s the deal and when is that going to change? Also, I think the site name is a little misleading. And annoying.

A decent site but nothing special. Could use some improvements and bigger offers.

A little too standard for my liking. It lacks the originality of some other online casinos. It’s quick and fair though, and it has some good games, so I can’t really complain too much.
